Dr. Leonard is a Livestock Scientist with long term experience in local and international livestock research and development projects. He is specialized in animal nutrition with experience in development of on-farm research and implementing projects within multi-disciplinary teams with a wide range of stakeholders. His academic and professional qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science, a Master of Science in Tropical animal production and a PhD in animal nutrition, all from Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA), Tanzania. Throughout his career, he attended various professional development courses and practices in livestock production, forage production and animal nutrition within and outside Tanzania. Dr. Leonard is currently serving at the Tanzania Livestock Research Institute (TALIRI) – West Kilimanjaro as a research officer. Similarly he is leading the Northern Zone being the acting Zonal Director.
